About Fernando Arteaga
As principal and director of design with HKS in Miami, Florida, Fernando Arteaga develops architectural proposals, master plans, and interior designs for luxury hospitality properties in the United States, Europe, and Latin America. His administrative accomplishments with the firm include implementing management strategies to expand into new high-end resort markets and boost productivity in various branch offices. Before joining the HKS team in 2019, Fernando Arteaga served a year as associate vice president of the Miami architecture firm CallisonRTKL.
He formerly worked overseas, serving four years as a design director with Wilson Associates in Singapore and three years as a managing director with Hirsch Bedner Associates in Dubai. He has also worked for major architecture firms in Chicago and New York City.
Educated in Mexico City, Mexico, Mr. Arteaga holds a bachelor of architecture from the Ibero-American University. He got his start with Mexico City’s Legorreta + Legorreta, where he developed multiple world-renowned buildings as a senior designer.
